The thatched-roof cabanas are constructed from local hardwoods, stucco and designed by expert indigenous Belizean craftsmen, in the native style. Each room is decorated with Maya woven bedspreads, tapestries, Belizean artwork, locally made table & chairs, has a private bath with hot water and a deck overlooking the picturesque valley.
There is no electricity in the rooms; kerosene lanterns provide lighting and an exotic ambiance. Mosquito nets are provided, though rarely needed, so you can leave your windows open and enjoy the cool evening breezes. The Cantina features solar-powered electricity to charge phones, cameras, computers and free limited internet service.
Relax in a hammock with a cold drink and enjoy the view of the mountains and the lush valley. The Cantina is also a general meeting area, private bar and restaurant serving home style cooking with local entrees many of which are locally grown.
You can engage in various activities, such as horse riding and canoeing. A variety of adventurous activities can be arranged with the help of staff at this property.
