Seville
Seville is a Spanish city, the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville, situated on the plain of the Guadalquivir River.
The inhabitants of the city are known as Sevillians or hispalenses, after the Roman name of the city, have been Hispalis.
Its Old Town, the third largest in Europe, with an area of 4 square kilometers, contains three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Alcazar palace complex, the Cathedral and the Archivo General de Indias. The port of Seville, located about 80 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean, is the only river port in Spain.

Tourism
The streets and squares of the historic district of the capital of Andalusia are lively and bustling. The Sevillians keep the many constructions that have the designation of World Heritage, and many districts are full of traditional culture, like Triana and La Macarena.
Seville is an important business and service center in the south of Spain and has many hotels spread throughout the city that allow visitors to discover numerous attractions. Museums and art centers, theme parks, cinemas, theaters and clubs are some of the many leisure options that a large city like Seville holds. Without forgetting, of course, the numerous terraces, inns and bars, where visitors can practice one of the most rooted and tasty traditions in the city: go out to eat tapas.
Another good excuse to visit the Sevillian capital is the festivals. The celebrations of Holy Week and Feria de Abril, which were declared of National Tourist Interest, reflect the devotion and folklore of the people of Seville, always open and friendly stop visitors.
But the appeal of Seville does not end there, since the city is also the starting point for the many cultural routes the province offers, such as the Roman Betica Route or the Washington Irving route.
The visitor can also discover the immense natural wealth of this region, which is halfway between two continents, in natural treasures such as the Doñana Natural Reserve, declared a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, and the Serra do Norte Natural Reserve, as well as the ideal setting for outdoor sports such as hiking, horse riding and cycling.
If, for the visitor, golf is your sport of choice, then you will be happy to know that Seville has four excellent golf courses in its surroundings.

Gastronomy
The huge variety of Sevillian cuisine is based around homemade food. The most famous dishes are Flamenco eggs, sautéed kidneys with Sherry, stuffed artichokes and fried fish (the real specialty of the cities of Cadiz, Seville and Malaga).
The inhabitants of Seville are not big eaters of restaurants, however, the city offers excellent restaurants that serve all the specialties of Andalusia, Spanish and international cuisine. The most popular way to eat in town is to go to tapas, eat a number of small plates of food, usually shared among groups of friends. In fact, most culinary customs are based around this tradition. To get to know the authentic food of Seville, the visitor has to taste as many dishes as possible from the wide and varied selection of food offered in bars and taverns. Salads, Gaspacho, Salmorejo and minced pork are the typical summer dishes that help to relieve the heat.
During Lent, most of the tapas consumed are based around cod. And throughout the year most of the bars serve the exquisite ham of the Huelva mountains, the Sanlúcar prawns and fried fish. These delicacies are washed down with local wines such as Manzanilla, or produce from nearby regions such as Sherry and Montilla or, of course, golden beer.
