The Appelgaard Farmhouse is in the village of Zaamslag. The village is set in the polder landscape of the Province of Zeeland. This traditional farm dates from 1690. It was completely renovated in its original style in 1997. Wonderful details such as 19th century friezes and original tiled and wooden floors adorn the house. Zaamslag is in a very convenient position. It is just 3 km from the town of Terneuzen. You can enjoy canoeing on the nearby river Kreek and visit towns such as Sluis and Knokke. The area is excellent for walking and cycling. You can enjoy a delightful country holiday here surrounded by fruit trees.
